New Life is good Genuine Neighborhood Shoppe is now open in Beaufort, NC

After two months of hard work, we have transformed an old house into a new store... a Life is good store. Although we are still working to get the store sign approved through the historic preservation committee, the big yellow banner and hand painted OPEN sign should get us started. Put the hammer down and focus on the flair

The construction phase of the new
store is now complete and adding flair is
the next project. Sean is working on
building shelves and Katie is restoring
an old surfboard with Life is good
colors and style.

I'd hammer in the evening... should be open by the weekend on June 27

Barn-wood wall panels have been mounted (several in each room). This was quite a challenge considering the walls were plaster and the thickness was inconsistent. The inspection for building code and fire code should be completed tomorrow. This is the last large hurdle.

All walls, trim, and ceiling have been painted with bright Life is good colors. Now the big project is mounting the fixtures for merchandise. We completed the cash register area today. Tomorrow we will work on the dressing room doors and benches.
