Americans love weddings so why not love a Royal Wedding!
Why are Americans obsessed with weddings? Platinum weddings, redneck weddings, saying Yes to a Dress... what's the deal. Possibly there is something deep inside all of us that needs to be reminded about hope, celebration, affirmation, and all things good. There are very few cultural celebrations that transcend history, culture differences, national borders than a good, over-the-top wedding. Weddings remind us to stop with the anxiety, the ego, take a breath and let hope surface within. So as goofy as it sounds, let the world celebrate one royal wedding that we really have no emotional connection with, other than curiosity. Have fun, have a party, wear a cool hat. Be part of a World family and let's all celebrate.

40th ANNIVERSARY OF THE NEUSIOK TRAIL. Hiking the Neusiok. Photo by Becka Walling.
This is the 40th anniversary of the 22-mile Neusiok Trail in the Croatan National Forest near New Bern and Havelock.
The trail was designed and built by the Carteret County Wildlife Club and is the longest continuous trail in North Carolina's coastal plain. It was designated as part of the MST in 1990, and it is one of the highlights of the entire 1000-mile journey. Hikers experience the beauty and diversity of this special part of North Carolina: sand ridges, bottomlands, pine savannas, pocosins and sandy beaches. The trail also features two camping shelters.
There is a long history of Native Americans utilizing this trail as a trade route. Lets keep the tradition going. Get involved with the Friends of the Mountain-to-Sea trail.
A good pair of walking shoes, comfortable clothing, a daypack and bug juice is all you need to enjoy a day on the trail.

You can now "breathe". Prana is now available in New Bern and Beaufort.
PrAna, an ancient Sanskrit word for breath, life and vitality of the spirit, started 17 years ago making clothing that worked well for climbing and yoga. It turned out the clothing worked well for lots of other passions too, so we added new products with purpose in mind and scoured the world for design inspiration.
Designed and built for the great outdoors, Prana clothing is rugged and functional; however, you will not find a more fashionable outdoor clothing company. Everyone loves the designs and the Prana pants have a fit second to none. Get wild and scary but make sure you are wearing your Prana. You will love it and so will your pet rabbit.

Baskets can make the bike!
I pedal for enjoyment but I also use my bike for utility. Groceries, commuting to work, and dinner take-out are the primary utility purposes for riding my bike. The baskets make this possible. I enjoy a quick removable basket on the front so it is also available as a shopping basket. On the rear rack, I have zip-tied a large basket. The two baskets allow me to distribute the load when commuting with items for work and for hauling multiple bags of groceries.
For heavier loads, use a basket that attaches more permanently to the bike frame. Many front baskets attach to the wheel axle with basket stays. This can also be a good choice. Front baskets can be easier than rear baskets to install but with heavier loads, both a front and a rear basket may be necessary.
Remember... biking is fun but biking with accessories is even more fun.
Check out our complete selection of bikes, accessories, and Life is good bike graphic t-shirts at One World Shoppe.
